Should anyone ask, I'm not diabetic

I recently had tea with a diabetic. She whipped out a testing kit, pricked her finger, dropped some blood on an iPod sized device and then stabbed herself (though her sweater) in the stomach. All this happened within 30 seconds. We started talking about being diabetic and how she found out that she was one.

Apparently drinking lots of water is a sign. The body tries to compensate for the lack of insulin by using water as a catalyst. I get through about 3 litres a day she whipped out another needle and tested me. It was painless and I’m pleased to report that my blood sugar levels are spot on.
